How the recipe browser works
The recipe browser holds 1,045 recipes from 12 professions in WoW: Forever – including 934 recipes that did not exist in Classic Era and 375 that can only be crafted at a camp station. You can narrow the list by profession, skill, source and faction, and every recipe shows its reagents, result and where it comes from. The professions guide gives an overview of all professions and what is new.
What you see for each recipe
- Skill: The skill at which you can learn the recipe. Some recipes need a higher skill to use than to learn – then both are shown.
- Reagents and result: All materials with quantities and the crafted item, including how many you get per craft.
- Source: Trainer, vendor, drop, quest, reputation, Merchant's Favor or world. Favor recipes show their favor price, reputation recipes the faction and standing required.
- Camp station: Recipes that only work at a station such as the Alchemy Laboratory or the Master Forge are marked. Stations are tier 3 camp objects – see the camp planner.
- New in Forever: Recipes that did not exist in Classic Era or that Forever changed carry a badge.
Step by step
- Pick a profession, or keep "All professions" when you are looking for a specific item.
- Type a name, a result or a reagent into the search – for example a herb to find every potion it goes into.
- Narrow the skill range, for example from your current skill up to the next trainer rank.
- Filter by source if you only want trainer recipes or only Merchant's Favor recipes, and by faction if a recipe is only available to Alliance or Horde.
- Switch on "Needs camp station" or "New in Forever" to see only those recipes. "Reset filters" brings back the full list.
- The list shows the number of matches and loads more with "Show more". The filters are part of the address, so you can pass the view on as a link.
Practical tips
- To see what a profession gains in Forever, combine the profession filter with "New in Forever".
- Search for a reagent before you sell materials: you will see which recipes need it and whether keeping it is worthwhile.
- For Merchant's Favor recipes the favor calculator shows how many Waylaid Crates you have to turn in for the favor price.
- If you want to level a profession, use the leveling calculator: it picks the cheapest route per skill bracket from the same recipes.
- If a recipe is missing it is usually an unchanged Classic recipe – the browser mainly covers what Forever adds or changes.
Recipe browser FAQ
Why can't I find a well-known Classic recipe?
The database focuses on recipes that are new or changed in Forever. Unchanged Classic recipes are not fully covered yet.
What does "Needs camp station" mean?
The recipe can only be crafted at a tier 3 camp object, for example the Alchemy Laboratory or the Master Forge. The station has to stand at a campfire; anyone at the fire may use it.
What is a Merchant's Favor recipe?
A recipe you buy with Merchant's Favor – the currency you earn for turning in Waylaid Crates. The browser shows the favor price, the favor calculator shows how to get there.
Can I share a filtered list?
Yes. The filters are part of the address. Copy the URL and whoever opens it sees the same selection.
