How the raid planner works
WoW: Forever has neither an in-game calendar nor server communities. The raid planner is therefore a public event board: organizers post raids, dungeons, world bosses, PvP, roleplay, crafting and guild meetups, players sign up with their character, and the roster with waitlist works itself out. All you need is a Discord login – create your first event or put the group together in the raid setup planner first.
Regions and rulesets
Forever separates its realms by region and ruleset, and that is how you filter the board. Every event belongs to a region – Europe (EU), Americas & Oceania (US), Korea (KR), and Taiwan (TW) – and shows its time in your time zone and in the region's server time. On top of that comes the ruleset:
- Normal: PvE focus, PvP optional.
- PvP: Open-world PvP is always on.
- Roleplay: Strict naming and behaviour rules.
- Roleplay PvP: Roleplay rules with PvP focus.
- Hardcore: Death is permanent. Arrives after launch.
You can also filter by faction, event type, language and date range. The filters are part of the address, so you can share a filtered view in your Discord.
Signing up – step by step
- Log in with Discord and add your characters in your account: name, class, specialization, level, region, ruleset and faction. There is no Blizzard API for Forever, so you enter them yourself.
- Open the event. You see start and end, sign-up deadline, minimum level, group size, the role slots, the current roster and the organizer's Discord link.
- Pick a matching character – it has to fit the event's region, ruleset and faction and must have reached the minimum level.
- Choose your role (tank, healer or damage, depending on what your class can play), optionally an off role in case your role is full, and your status: "I'm in", "I'll be late", "Maybe" or "I can't make it".
- Add a note if needed, e.g. "available from 20:30", and save. You can change status and note at any time or withdraw; "Add to calendar (iCal)" puts the event into your calendar.
Roster and waitlist
The roster is recomputed from scratch on every change, in sign-up order. Each sign-up with "I'm in" or "I'll be late" gets, in this order:
- a free slot in its main role,
- otherwise a free slot that is not assigned to any role,
- otherwise a free slot in its off role,
- otherwise a place on the waitlist – with a visible position.
When someone withdraws, the next fitting sign-up moves up automatically. The organizer can bench sign-ups or confirm them additionally; a sign-up confirmed that way never takes anyone else's slot. Events without a size limit have no waitlist.
Organizing an event
- Basics: Title, type, optionally the instance, description, region, ruleset, faction and language. Start and end in your time zone; an event lasts at most 24 hours and the sign-up deadline lies before the start.
- Group: Group size (or unlimited) and role slots. The planner suggests a split – for 5 players 1 tank, 1 healer, 3 damage; for 40 players 5, 10 and 25 – which you can change freely. Slots without a role can be filled by any role.
- Discord and visibility: An invite link for your group, optionally a webhook that announces the event in your Discord, and the choice between public and "link only".
- Tools: Lock or open sign-ups, cancel the event, mark it as completed, confirm or bench players – and the invite string with which the Forever Hub addon invites all confirmed players in game.
- Preparation: The raid setup planner shows in advance which buffs, totems and debuffs your classes cover.
Raid planner FAQ
Do I need an account to see events?
No. Public events and their rosters are visible to everyone. You only need the Discord login to sign up and to create events.
Why can't I sign up with my character?
The character has to match the event's region, ruleset and faction and must have reached the minimum level. Your class also has to be able to play the chosen role. Check the details in your account.
How do I get from the waitlist into the roster?
Automatically: as soon as someone drops out or the organizer enlarges the group, the next fitting sign-up moves up in sign-up order. An off role improves your chances.
What does "link only" mean?
The event does not appear on the board or in search engines. Only people with the link can open it and sign up – handy for guild raids.
How do I invite the group in game?
Organizers see an invite string on the event page. Pasted into the Forever Hub addon, it invites all confirmed players with one command.
