New in Forever

New and newly trainable abilities

5 abilities are new at the class trainer or trainable for the first time:

  • Improved Cleave (level 1, now trainable): Reduces the Rage cost of your Cleave ability by 3.
  • Improved Overpower (level 1, now trainable): Increases the critical strike chance of your Overpower ability by 50%.
  • Toughness (level 1, now trainable): Increases your Armor value from items by 10%.
  • Tactical Mastery (level 14, now trainable): You retain up to [Improved Tactical Mastery: 25 / 10] Rage when you change Stances.
  • Victory Rush (level 20, new): Instantly attack the target causing (1 + $apm * 15 / 100) damage and healing you for 10% of your maximum health.

Reworked talent trees

Of 52 talents, 10 are new and 37 changed compared with Classic Era (renamed, moved or reworked). Examples of new talents:

  • Spearing Strike (Arms, 1/1): A brutal attack that deals 40% weapon damage. Deals an additional 80% weapon damage against Giants, Dragonkin, and mounted targets. Mounted targets are dismounted.
  • Lingering Rage (Fury, at 5/5): Increases the time before your Rage begins to decay after leaving combat by 10 sec.
  • Master of Defense (Protection, at 2/2): Grants you a 100% chance to generate 5 Rage when you Dodge or Parry while a shield is equipped.

Tier list ratings

As of 1 November 2026. The tiers combine several tier lists and a level-60 simulation (median, details on the rankings page).

PvE dungeon DPS (beta lvl 30)ArmsAC–A3
PvP (battleground/open world)FuryBB–A2
PvP (battleground/open world)ArmsBB–A2
PvP (battleground/open world)ProtectionCC2

Reasons in brief:

  • Fury, PvE DPS (raid): Third in the level-60 simulation (78% of the top value); SeeMeta puts Fury at the very top thanks to Bloodthirst and Flurry, RankedBoost one tier lower.
  • Arms, PvE DPS (raid): Unanimously B: Mortal Strike is worth more in PvP than in raids; 67% in the simulation.
  • Protection, PvE tanks: Safest main tank: strongest defensive cooldowns (Shield Wall, Last Stand), pushes crits and crushing blows off the table with Shield Block, and brings Sunder Armor and Thunder Clap.
  • Fury, PvP (battleground/open world): Bloodthirst and Flurry for pressure, but no healing reduction (SeeMeta B).
  • Arms, PvP (battleground/open world): Mortal Strike halves healing, Improved Hamstring roots; RankedBoost B, SeeMeta A.
  • Protection, PvP (battleground/open world): Unanimously C: Concussion Blow and Improved Shield Bash control, but the tree adds almost no damage.

Beta/PTR state before the 4 November 2026 launch. The sources rely on the level-30 beta, talent analysis and simulations – there are no raid logs yet. Ratings will change after launch.

Context

The tiers above rest on the beta (capped at level 30), talent analysis and simulations – raid logs only exist once the raids open on 9 December 2026. If you want to play a Warrior, pick the specialization mainly by role and feel, and read the tiers as a snapshot.

For finding groups, keep the role balance in mind: tanks and healers are usually in higher demand in dungeons and raids than damage dealers. Plan the talent tree in the talent calculator and share it with your group as a link; from level 40, dual talent specialization lets you keep two builds.
